He went on to say that Korea, the reigning winners, will also be a squad to keep an eye on. “Korea will be a formidable opponent as well. They look good, and we played them earlier this year. Overall, we anticipate a successful tournament, and reaching the Super 4s will be our top priority,” Jalil continued.
“First of all, we are grateful for the warm welcome and we are happy to be here early and get a few warm-up games,” said Head Coach Sarjit Kundan, who expressed his happiness at the friendly welcome.
“As a youthful team preparing for the 2028 Olympics, the Asian Games next year are of utmost importance. I’m hoping they’ll perform well. We visited Korea and Australia prior to the Nations Cup. Following this, all of the top teams will be present for the Sultan Azlan Shah. All we want to do is perform well in this event. We want to place on the podium, as we are ranked second in the tournament.
On August 29, Bangladesh will meet Malaysia in the tournament’s opening match. While India, Japan, China, and Kazakhstan are in Pool A, they are in Pool B with Korea, Bangladesh, and Chinese Taipei.
