According to Fabrizio Romano, Jackson will sign a season-long loan with Bayern, with Chelsea receiving €15 million (£13 million). He continues by saying that the Blues have included a sell-on provision and a €80 million (£69 million) buy option in the agreement.

Jackson’s lack of discipline at Chelsea at the close of the previous season caused him to lose favor. Since then, he has risen to third place behind summer acquisitions Joao Pedro and Liam Delap in the striker hierarchy. The Senegal international is about to land his ideal transfer to Bayern, just when it appeared that he might be on the periphery at Stamford Bridge. He will probably be second choice, though, after Harry Kane, who is a prolific shooter.

Jackson joined the Blues from Villarreal in 2023 and has had a mixed run at Stamford Bridge. He still has eight years left on his Chelsea contract.
