Garnacho’s Bombshell: Man United Exit Confirmed Amidst £40M Chelsea Bid & Amorim’s Harsh Exile!

After being exiled by Ruben Amorim, Alejandro Garnacho, a £40 million Chelsea signing, speaks out about leaving Manchester United.

Following a £40 million move to Chelsea, Alejandro Garnacho has spoken out about leaving Manchester United. The 21-year-old winger and the Blues have reached an agreement on a seven-year contract, with United including a 10% sell-on provision in the deal.

After United manager Ruben Amorim instructed Garnacho to find a new club at the end of the previous season, Garnacho moved to Stamford Bridge. The winger trained alone as a member of the ‘bomb squad’ and did not play in preseason.

Additionally, he publicly vented his annoyance after being brought in late in their May Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, a moment that seemed to hurry his departure. After five years with United, Garnacho took to Instagram to bid the Red Devils farewell. ‘Dear Manchester,’ he wrote.

‘After an unforgettable five years, this special chapter in my life now comes to a close. We have created moments that will stay with me forever, and I’m very grateful for this.

‘To the coaches, staff, and my teammates, thank you for believing in me. Every time I wore the badge, I gave everything I had.

‘I leave proud of what we achieved together and excited for what’s to come. Wishing the club nothing but success for the future, while I look forward to giving my all in the next chapter of my career’.

After weeks of negotiating the price, Chelsea defeated rivals to sign him. The Blues made an early bid of £25 million, but negotiations were agreed on £40 million plus the sell-on percentage.

Garnacho is anticipated to contend with Jamie Gittens, another summer acquisition, for a spot on Enzo Maresca’s left wing. Among the many newcomers to Stamford Bridge are Estevao, a teenager from Brazil, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, and Jorrel Hato.

Garnacho is Chelsea’s 51st acquisition since the start of the Todd Boehly tenure in 2022.
