Asia Cup 2025 to be held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9-28 Its Officially Confirmed.

Asia Cup will happen, President Mohsin Naqvi of the Asia Cricket Council (ACC) announced on Saturday that the Asia Cup 2025 will take place in the UAE from September 9th to the 28th.

Naqvi later announced the schedule for the tournament on X, with India and Pakistan set to clash on September 14. In addition to India, the Green Shirts will play Oman on September 12 and the UAE on September 17.

Group A will consist of Pakistan, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman, while Group B will consist of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.

After the group stage, there will be a super four stage, and on September 28, there will be the final.

The tournament was already anticipated to be held in the United Arab Emirates when the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed it.

Due to political and logistical issues, the tournament that India was initially supposed to host in September was on the verge of being moved, though India is still anticipated to keep the hosting rights.

The decision came after the ACC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which took place in Dhaka on Thursday and was largely attended by representatives of all 25 member nations.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) first threatened to skip the conference owing to political issues with Bangladesh but later joined digitally. Rajeev Shukla, BCCI vice-president, represented the board at the meeting.

The Asia Cup must be completed before India opens its Test series against the West Indies later that month.

Following the April 22 Pahalgam incident in Indian-occupied Kashmir, Pakistan and India backed down from an all-out war in May following a four-day military standoff, the worst in decades. New Delhi launched Operation Sindoor after accusing Pakistan of the attack without providing any evidence. Islamabad has strenuously disputed the allegations.
