“Shocking Allegations: Former Man Utd Player Sues for £1 Million Over Injury Claims”
A former Man Utd player is pursuing a £1 million lawsuit against the team, alleging “clinical negligence” regarding “medical advice” he received.
Back in July, Axel Tuanzebe, a product of Man Utd’s academy, filed a claim with the High Court.
Due to many injuries during his tenure at Old Trafford, Tuanzebe is allegedly no longer able to play “without restriction or impediment,” according to court records obtained by Sky News.

If he wins the case against United, the defender, who currently plays for Burnley in the Premier League, “expects to recover damages in excess of £1,000,000.”
At the age of eight, Tuanzebe joined Man Utd and advanced through the ranks before making his senior debut in January 2017.
Tuanzebe endured several injuries while at Old Trafford, including one that ended his season against Colchester United in the Carabao Cup in December 2019.
The key information supporting Tuanzebe’s case against Man Utd has now been made official for the first time.
The primary accusation relates to a January 2020 left-sided pars fracture, a stress fracture damage to the lower spine.
The player reportedly experienced “significant pain and discomfort since their development and deterioration” as a result of the injury.

According to the lawsuit, the player’s lower back pain on the right side became severe in July 2022.
According to Sky, the complaint states that “appropriate treatment plans would, on the balance of probabilities, have resulted in the claimant avoiding the pain and discomfort set out below and would have resulted in him being able to play professional football at an elite level without restriction or impediment.”
“As it is, his condition has affected his career and earnings, even though he still plays at an elite level.”

In their High Court action, Tuanzebe and his legal team claim that United neglected to refer him to a specialized sports spinal surgeon at the time of the initial fracture and did not give him enough time to recover from the injury.
According to the lawsuit, Tuanzebe feels that if United had handled the case differently, the spinal issue would not have developed into a chronic condition on his left side or been triggered on his right.
Manchester United chose not to respond.
