Gary Neville slammed Jamie Carragher’s ‘disrespectful’ new season predictions on Monday Night Football in an unpleasant discussion.
An unpleasant exchange occurred between Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville during Monday Night Football of the new Premier League season. When they watched the opening weekend of top division football, they talked about how the season was going. Carragher thought Liverpool would win the Premier League again under Arne Slot, while Neville thought Arsenal would win the league for the first time after finishing second three times in a row. On Sky Sports, the conversation was broadcast.
More news from Manchester United!

Before Neville chose Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim as his “manager to watch” this season, the two were friendly despite their differences about the winners of the titles. Carragher laughed and called Neville stupid. Carragher mentioned last year’s selection of Erik ten Hag and gestured to the board of selections.
“Why you laughing? It’s disrespect” 😡
“You pick a Man Utd manager every year on that” 😂@GNev2 was not happy with @Carra23‘s reaction to his Manager to Watch selection 😅 pic.twitter.com/RMAiMkKEuq— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) August 18, 2025
Neville contends that Ten Hag and Ruben Amorim will face enormous pressure if they start poorly, considering they finished 13th, 14th, and 15th last season. He feels that Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will outperform in the early months of the season. However, Carragher interrupts Neville’s prediction and states that they must finish fourth. Neville accepts Carragher’s reservations about Amorim and his prior essay claiming that he isn’t particularly good.
Transfer news from Europeon Giants!

Following the former United player’s comment, there was a brief back and forth in which the two commentators interrupted one another. Carragher asked right away, “Did I? It is required that you read it.
‘Well, what was your paper about?’ Neville then inquired.
“It was about Arteta and Amorim, the two managers,” said Mikel, the Arsenal manager. In three or four years, Amorim would be thrilled to be in Arteta’s place.
Monday Night Football’s predictions segment concluded with Carragher selecting Oliver Glasner of Crystal Palace as his “manager to watch” after a heated argument.
Both of them admitted that Man City, along with Arsenal and Liverpool, was one of the three teams vying for the title.

Regarding his prediction for Arsenal, Neville stated, “I couldn’t separate them, so I have picked the team I have picked for the past three years, feeling that they are dependable, solid, and consistent, which I think is important.”
Man United’s improved league form and lack of European competition this season could give them an edge over rivals like Chelsea, Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Tottenham. Neville believes that Man United will surprise some people with their performance and the right players up front. He also believes that Chelsea will find it easier with the World Club Cup and European games, but Man United may sneak in.
However, Carragher backed Chelsea to complete the top four and secure qualification to the Champions League. Neville believes that the right material at the front of the pitch will help Arsenal succeed.
Both experts predicted Newcastle would finish in the top six, with Carragher picking them to finish fifth ahead of Tottenham and Neville picking them sixth behind Chelsea.
The Liverpool star fired another swipe at his fellow pundit by describing Manchester United as a’surprise’ European contender, while Neville – who is still banned from the City Ground – joked that he might be allowed back in after picking Nottingham Forest as his choice.

Hello everyone! If you’re looking to identify what season you are or which colors flatter your skin tone best, tools like the color analysis pro app and online quizzes can be a fantastic start. For example, if you have a light skin tone with yellow undertones or olive skin, exploring palettes like deep summer or light spring color palette might certainly help determine the best colors for you. It’s interesting how seasonal color analysis uses skin tone charts, vein tests, and undertone observations—like blue veins or reddish undertones—to determine flattering color palettes.
For those drawn to deep summer color analysis, the palette often includes subdued and cool shades which match yellow skin tone females or people with an amber skin tone. You can also discover free color analysis and hair color simulators online to try out before committing. If you want to investigate seasonal color palettes and find out what colors enhance pale skin, yellow undertone, or olive skin, visit yellow skin tone for extensive charts and tips!
